This collective grew out
of a dispute the CDCA and the existing cooperatives had
with the Nicaraguan security agency they had hired and
its treatment of the employees they sent to guard the grounds at night. After
being mistreated, the guards decided to leave the security company and form
their own collective, and the CDCA promptly hired them.
